What you’ll be doing...

You will explore what our people need to learn to be even better. Your programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs and be highly effective and in tune with our culture. You’ll design learning solutions that are engaging, fun and most importantly build those capabilities needed to enable our people to create the Verizon of the future.

  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the content for customer facing employees and indirect agents intranet. These responsibilities include creating, editing, publishing and archiving content.
  • Designs content that enables the successful implementation of Verizon initiatives
  • Develop technical content to be simple and human using dynamic media when appropriate.
  • Manage content requests from every part of the organization including creating, updating and/or archiving.
  • Maintain appropriate categorization of content including policies, processes, procedures etc.
  • Appropriately tag content with metadata to improve content reuse and ensure correct placement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other teams to launch online resources and communications
  • Edit all content to follow brand guidelines, spelling, grammar, and formatting standards before publishing.
  • Proactively identify process improvement ideas.
  • Participate in online reference tool development, standardization, and enhancement projects.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience.
  • Expert technical writing skills and strong understanding of content modeling and metadata
  • Three or more years of telecommunications experience
  • Strong customer focus to help meet and exceed company objectives
  • Proven editorial skills
  • Skilled and proven background in AEM (CMS)
  • Basic Illustrator/Photoshop with web design experience
  • Ability to effectively coach and negotiate solutions and deadlines
  • Proven ability to analyze, organize and integrate large amounts of information into a clear concise summary
  • Independent worker, self-motivated and strong decision-maker
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and provide rapid turn-around on deliverables
  • Ability to effectively relay complex information to others at any level of the business
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work in a high-energy, dynamic, and sometimes unstructured environment
  • Available to work evenings and/or weekends for support of a specific product, process, or system launches

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training approaches.
  • Consulted with HR professionals and their business clients.
  • Managed projects effectively balancing timeliness and quality.
  • Experience in other CMS (Ie.documentum)
  • Experience using multiple applications of Adobe Creative Suite for web design
