What you’ll be doing...

The Technology Partnerships Organization is responsible for amalgamating all Tech and Innovation Concepts for existing and new Verizon Partnerships. The role will lead the design and project management of Workstreams that make up an end to end solution for our partners and clients, through flawless execution.

As our Project Manager of Technology Partnerships, you will work closely with all cross-functional teams and LOBs to ensure successful execution and delivery of end to end strategic solutions for Verizon Partners in the Sports, Hospitality and other emerging spaces. The focus on this job will be to partner with our internal stakeholders and partners, ensuring that we are understanding the client needs and technology requirements in order to deliver an innovative customer experience. The PM will interface with the client and vendors ensuring that all open items are addressed, meetings are scheduled and facilitated and action items tracked and worked accordingly to meet project delivery dates. You will be responsible for delivering technology solutions on-time within scope and budget through risk, issue and resource management. You will be independently responsible for ensuring visibility into the Verizon Strategic Plans and executing on solutions that line up to our North Star.

  • Experience and expertise in project management methodology and technical acumen.
  • Manager of Projects, and single POC responsible for all aspects of the development & implementation of more than one Partner Program.
  • Set up Project Teams and partner with internal resources and third parties/vendors across organizations to complete all project requirements and deliverables including the successful identification, integration, tracking, and management from project initiation through execution.
  • Go to Market Planning – Lead the GTM marketing plans across LOBs, ensuring integration of Marketing plans and deliverables and front line impacting tactics.
  • Ensure all initiatives are delivered on-time within scope and budget through risk, issue and resource management.
  • Develop and provide executive weekly dashboard of project status, deliverables and key milestones.
  • Use strong communication skills to distill complex business issues and builds consensus across constituencies and passionately evangelizes the strategic platform vision internally and externally.
  • Resolve project related conflicts through skilled negotiation and diplomacy. Articulate logical arguments across the organization ensuring projects have the appropriate angle defined.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry issues, key players, recent developments, trends, opportunities, the changing media landscape, and best practices.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Project Management Experience.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA.
  • PMI-ACP, PMI or PMP Certification.
  • Expert knowledge of project / program management, experience with leading teams, and experience in risk and change management.
  • Experience with agile management, processes and/or iterative design.
  • Proven track record of implementing & launching large scale initiatives at a national level, working with internal stakeholders, agencies/ and or vendors.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational communications, including managing over 10 stakeholders on a given project.
  • Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
  • Strong understanding of Verizon policies & processes related to privacy, governance/go to market, organizational structure and product approvals.
  • Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly resolve complex problems and identify, develop and quantify any required corrective action to keep program schedules on track.
  • Hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” mindset, with the demonstrated ability to be a driver and change agent in an organization. Proven ability to lead through influence without a direct line of authority.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
