What you’ll be doing...

Continuous improvement is at the heart of our business success. That’s where you come in. You’ll be leading the team that develops, enhances, and troubleshoots our service delivery process flows, tasking, and UI for Enterprise and Wholesale services. You will make sure that our Developers/Leads use clean & lean coding practices to increase usability without compromising performance. Since time to market has a big impact on our success, you’ll be creating a sense of urgency to remove any barriers to your team’s productivity.

  • Managing a team of SMEs, Developers, and Vendors for delivering process flows for Verizon’s communication service like Wave, E-Line, Private IP, Internet, and TDM services.
  • Managing highly complex, technically sophisticated projects to develop, test, and deploy software in production using DevOps process.
  • Drive delivery of business process flows to support new products and enhancements to existing process flows for efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborating with network operations and service delivery teams and presenting to senior management (Director and above), on IT solutions provided for process automation and fallout reduction.
  • Managing team to address security vulnerabilities reported by code scans and port scans.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with telecom products like Wave, E-Line, Private IP, Internet, TDM (DS-1, DS3, OC-n etc.) and telecom Operations Support Systems (OSS).
  • Experience with designing business process flows using BPM tools.
  • Experience with leading a team of developers and subject matter experts.
  • Experience with managing DevOps process for software development, testing, and deployment in production.
  • Experience in managing resolution process for security vulnerabilities reported by Fortify code scans, port scans, DAST, and Blackduck.
  • Willingness to work occasional overnight hours.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Eight or more years of experience with telecom products like Wave, E-Line, Private IP, Internet, TDM (DS-1, DS3, OC-n etc.) and telecom Operations Support Systems (OSS).
  • Six or more years of experience with designing business process flows using BPM tools.
  • Four or more years of experience with leading a team of developers and subject matter experts.
  • Two or more years of experience with managing DevOps process for software development, testing, and deployment in production.
  • Two or more years of experience in managing resolution process for security vulnerabilities reported by Fortify code scans, port scans, DAST, and Blackduck.
  • Java/J2EE, C++ programming experience.
  • Experience with Dev Ops tools, techniques, and mindset.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with presenting to senior management.
