The Federal SeniorCisco Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex networking solutions over a large enterprise level network.
  • Troubleshoot difficult or chronic problems and provide both short and long-term resolutions.
  • Define network standards and create documentation to support these standards.
  • Ability to understand complex system requirements in-order to design compelling solutions.
  • Create specifications and detailed drawings for network architecture.
  • Establishes specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • Conducts testing of network design.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network to include routers, firewalls, switches and cloud solutions.
  • Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Provides technical team leadership.
  • Oversees network performance to ensure efficient and optimal operation so that all service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved.
  • Lead project initiatives and provides technical expertise to network staff.
  • Identify internal customer and product requirements and design complex network systems.
  • Lead or participate in planning and assessment project phases and lead/assist with project design/implementation phases.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and participates in the development of technical standards.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have

  • Bachelor degree; or six or more years of networking work experience
  • Six or more years of experience in advanced routing and switching knowledge in an enterprise environment.
  • Six or more years of experience in advanced experience with configuration, deployment, and administration of Cisco routers and switches.
  • Six or more years of experience in planning and implementing enterprise network solutions.
  • Six or more years of experience in understanding of network applications and flows.
  • Six or more years of experience in working experience in analyzing and predicting network trends and performance.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification achieved within the first 6 months of start date.
  • Network and/or security certifications.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain and government security clearance

Even better if you have

  • A degree
  • Active government secuirty clearance
  • Proven leadership skills in an enterprise infrastructure or network role.
  • Experience in AWS cloud services and solutions.
  • Primarily Cisco experience is a plus.
