What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Analyst of Network Assurance -- Reference Data Operations is responsible for hands-on and/or automated testing and validation of reference data in the SurePay platforms (Prepay, Wholesale UC, etc.). Additionally, the tester will work diligently to identify and mitigate customer experience, billing, network degradation, fraud, legal and regulatory control gaps, minimize business impact, and drive flawless product launches using a risk based approach. Support will encompass many facets within the role, including, but not limited to:

Testing:

  • Ensure complete testing for all new network elements, network service and network centric product launches and subsequent Software Updates (SU).
  • Support Change Control Windows – performing regression and/or positive testing as needed
  • Support Network, Device Marketing and IT initiatives that impact supported network elements and the related billing for those services by providing ad hoc analytical, operational or technical support to others
  • Develop, design, implement and execute specific tests to ensure the integrity of various billing flows.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to refine and improve requirements for both new and existing products and services.
  • Protect proprietary and confidential information.
  • Improve the customer experience and advocate for our shareholders by personifying the VZW credo.

Project Management and Administration:

  • Be a team lead on network element testing, network service testing and projects of varying degrees of complexity and scale; validating that the experience matches to billing output
  • Analyze the system, process and organizational impact of change requests and quantify potential or actual dollar impacts; ensure key stakeholders are aware as well as they make recommendations based on this analysis
  • Represent RA Network Assurance team as the technical SME on cross functional implementation launch teams and provide all related Network Assurance requirements by coordinating with the various internal RA teams
  • Ensure that all processes are in compliance with SOX-related procedures and provides reporting as requested to validate the corresponding SOX control procedure.

  • Continually broaden and strengthen knowledge of technology, tools and systems.
  • Participate in cross-functional best practice discussions and identifies opportunities to incorporate process changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to work a flexible work schedule; including nights and weekends, as required.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Business or Computer Science disciplines.
  • Ability to perform independently.
  • Capability to understand the technical aspects of the design and functions of billing systems.
  • Knowledge of wireless network technologies like CDMA, GSM and LTE.
  • Two or more years of work experience in a technical position.
  • Two or more years of experience working with web and networking protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, Telnet, FRP, SMTP, SSL, TLS, NTP, SOAP, JSON or XML.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.).
  • Creativity and flexibility in managing simultaneous projects and issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with strong attention to detail.
