What you’ll be doing...

Individual will be responsible for supervision of Network Engineers that perform complex Layer 1 and 2 engineering designs and rearrangements across multiple Telco Savings projects. Candidate will provide technical support by analyzing LBW/HBW circuit engineering data/ routing, identifying new engineering paths as needed and developing/ implementing circuit engineering rearrangements. Individual will coordinate all scheduled activities in accordance with operational procedures. Candidate will also forecast, track, and provide reporting updates on a weekly and monthly basis.
Individual acts independently and exercises sound judgment within generally defined practices and policies to select appropriate methods or techniques for obtaining solutions. He or she will act as advisor to team members to meet schedules and resolve problems. Work will be varied within established savings programs and requires frequent interpretation. Strong interpersonal skills to work with other organizations such as: Planning groups, implementation teams, project managers, field technicians, and other Verizon services personnel.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • 10 or more years of experience in providing a diverse range of Telco and/or Network support.
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment where multi-tasking and short deadlines are standard.
  • Possess strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact at all employment levels within the organization.
  • Ability to produce reports and effectively communicate their significance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Well-organized and highly motivated.
  • Experience in previous circuit design experience within Verizon Business Platforms. Platforms may include, but are not limited to F&E, BGW, PC/NETPRO, MECCA, COMS, eASR, MASTARS, OPTIMA, ETMS, TCOMS, SNM, VDDS, IPSM, WFM, and CoFEE.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
