What you’ll be doing...

As a Program Manager you will be responsible for the Vendor Training Program Office (PMO) which provides the framework for staff augmentation globally. The Vendor Program Manager oversees the implementation, adoption and ongoing management of all vendor training. At the core of this role is the goal of creating and maintaining a high standard for vendor training in the Business to Business space. This position will consult and collaborate with business owners, vendor management, vendor trainers, design/development studios and delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with BPO work, detail oriented, adept at project management and able to manage multiple projects in order to meet goals for the implementation, management and overall execution of our strategy.

As a key strategic partner, you will:

  • Lead the implementation and adoption of the new vendor training framework within Learning and Development and across B2B business units
  • Develop and implement quality standards around the vendor training framework
  • Manage the overall vendor certification/accreditation for all vendor sites
  • Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate adoption and maintenance of the vendor training framework
  • Ensure completion of all critical tasks required to support training delivery at vendor sites by partnering with vendor management
  • Develop and maintain tools to support vendor training processes and procedures
  • Manage the vendor training funnel and overall delivery calendar
  • Conduct site audits and evaluations on a regular basis
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of new and existing training needs at the vendor sites
  • Identify potential risks or issues with training implementation, and proactively drive communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate Verizon Learning and Development expectations to vendor training teams
  • Analyze education/learning investments to business outcomes
  • Respond to learning escalations and contract compliance

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Business Process Outsourcing space
  • Proven ability to creatively solve problems through business acumen, negotiation, tact, and diplomacy
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to direct multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables with quality
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including international travel
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and circumstances
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively navigate a matrix style organization to partner with key stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Even better if you have:

  • Experience coaching
  • Project management experience or certification
  • Experience with technical support training and social media training
  • Proficiency in Adobe Connect and WebEx content delivery
  • Facilitation and adult learning skills
