Our Digital VES IT team is looking for a highly motivated Lead Java Developer, who will drive the VES digital transformation journey.

  • Engage with business partners to analyze business challenges, identify areas of revenue growth, efficiency improvements and opportunities to improve customer experience.
  • Design effective solutions and work with the global delivery team to convert ideas into reality.
  • Present ideas and project status to leadership teams.
  • Demonstrate a penchant to learn new technology and stay abreast of the latest trends in the market. Advancements in these technologies will expand exponentially in upcoming years, and you will be responsible for optimizing their solutions and implementation.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications using Java/J2EE.
  • Experience in UI frameworks.
  • Willingness to travel up yo 25%.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Strong database and SQL skills.
  • Experience with UNIX and Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms/AWS.
  • Experience handling agile projects with DevOps pipeline.
  • Knowledge on various Verizon systems that handle Service Management, Service Assurance, Sales, Ordering & Tracking and Billing.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise CRM functions - Customer Satisfaction (OSAT), Service Improvement Plans, and Collaboration tools like Case Management.
  • Experience working with Service Managers who support our Enterprise Customers.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work with both Business and IT teams.
  • Business analysis, innovation and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
