What you’ll be doing...
Deliver on Capital Budget and Plans - Capital Processes & Reporting
Communicate and work with sub-markets and disciplines in the East Territory as capital plans are executed. The execution of capital is primarily but not limited to the Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky submarket.
PeopleSoft and Unifi Transactions:
- Create and fund PeopleSoft capital projects budgeted as part of the submarkets plan of record.
- Review capital requests to ensure they meet capitalization standards per Fixed Assets (FA) policy.
- Scrutinize capital project requests ensuring they are established in accordance with project coding & activity string guidelines for capital efficiency and unit cost reporting.
- Create locations in accordance with Fixed Assets guidelines ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up with FAs required.
Reporting:
- Monitor CIP Reporting and ensure completed capital projects are placed in-service by monthly FA deadline.
- Run/review various capital related reports such as Match Exceptions, Received Not Paid, and Open Commitments Not Received to ensure correct coding.
- Discuss findings with buyers/regional contacts to have any corrections made.
- Provide support to regions to ensure a successful capital plan. Provide ad hoc reports as requested such as netbook value for Asset Transfers/retirements.
- Perform research on business results of the plan and forecast.
- Gather data and financial information to create/update the outline of Business Plan Commitment View, Best View, including testing the accuracy and consistency of the deliverables.
- Compile analysis of financial statements.
- Assemble and track monthly business trends by incorporating deliverables: including variance analysis of financial results and Key Performance Indicators.
- Gather data to track cash flow performance.
- Perform analytical assignments and prepare/distribute actual and budget reports.
- Assemble financial reporting and perform preliminary analysis and provide resulting data.
- Supply financial data for the capital planning process.
- Provide insights into the performance, variance and risks identified within financial and operational reporting.
- Compile data and create the outline of profitability/costing models to analyze risk and growth opportunities.
- Perform profitability analysis and develop recommendations to address performance issues.
- Test economic drivers of the business client; including customer churn, renewals.
- Communicate with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or one or more years of work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to focus on the detail and identify issues such as duplicate projects and excess uncommitted funds against capital projects.
