What you’ll be doing...

Reporting to the Director, HQNRE Real Estate. This position will entail pulling detailed rent and lease, budget, spending information together, modeling it, trending it, forecasting where to go next. This role will work closely with the negotiators in NQNRE to strategize around path forward on rent and lease negotiations and budgeting direction. Position will also be required to work with the markets to determine yearly budgets, understand budget variances and communicate ahead of time what the status of budgets are.

  • Find solutions to bridge any budget gap working hand in hand with the field. Last, the position will manage HQNRE’s expense and capital budgets, reporting out monthly on status.
  • Prepare financial reports with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategies.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

Even better if you have:

  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Five or more years of experience working in finance and/or accounting.
  • Proven track record of working with large groups or teams to implement changes resulting from financial analysis.
  • CPA certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess credit risks accurately.
  • Ability to negotiate a plus.
  • Experience with at least one company that has revenue in excess of $100 million.
  • Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, Microsoft Power-Point, Word, Access, Office.
