What you’ll be doing...

The Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) organization is responsible for amalgamating all integrated marketing initiatives across the CMO and BU. The role will lead the program design of IMC strategies, process and plans relative to launches, campaigns, promotions and products. The role manages internal communication of campaign progress to all stakeholders and partners with Integrated Marketing Directors, Creative and the BUs to ensure flawless execution.

The IMC Team is responsible for:

  • Strategic planning of marketing initiatives
  • Being a single point of contact (POC) for business units
  • Leading the strategic brief writing
  • Managing communication priorities for Verizon
  • The integrated marketing processes
  • The IMC Manager will plan, manage, execute and report on multi-channel campaigns that increase brand awareness, drive demand and provide customer insight. You will have the authority and independence to ensure that requirements, communication opportunities and risks of the various objectives are identified, managed and completed in a timely fashion in order to achieve on time completion of the program and its phases.
  • Collaborate with partner teams (product, promotional, media, research, insights, competitive intelligence, go to market, creative, legal, vendors) to define campaign objectives and establish campaign approach
  • Author and own strategic briefs for multiple products and lines of business, targeting multiple audiences – from working team to executive level overviews
  • Ensure all projects are aligned with established strategy and keep team members supplied with the information they need to deliver work that is on strategy and on deadline
  • Manage timelines and have your finger on the pulse of all program details so you are the one person who knows the status of any deliverable at a given point in time.
  • Deep understanding of emerging consumer trends, technologies, business intelligence and competitive threats to share back with the business and insure strategy is aligned. Partner with Insights team to fill knowledge gaps where they exist

What we’re looking for...

You are curious about what people need and want. You enjoy digging through data for insight into opportunities for how we can help our consumers work, play and connect in new and better ways.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in retail marketing or a related function.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree – more impressive if you have an MBA.
  • Digital experience and an understanding of trends and key business drivers.
  • Presented findings and insights targeted to what that audience cares about (up to the executive level).
  • Analyzed what’s important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities.
  • Designed custom research approaches to gain broader or deeper consumer and market insights.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Translated market knowledge and strategy into compelling stories and tools for the sales team.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Agency or consultant experience preferred, but not required
  • Must be a team player and able to work well with large and varied teams
  • Highly effective communication and presentation skills
