What you’ll be doing...

The Project Manager works in partnership with product owners, business stakeholders, and stable teams to bring globally available products, enhancements, and platforms to the business marketplace. You will be responsible for project schedules, resources and deliverables, and oversight of capital spend. You will create a team environment that drive progress so goals and objectives are achievable and met. You will also be knowledgeable of the larger project landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project health, staying alert for risk and resolving issues as they arise.

  • Owns the project management role and schedule for all assigned projects within the Integrated Networks and Security Solutions portfolio.
  • Works with product owners, business stakeholders and stable teams in creating a sense of urgency and moving projects through the Lean Business Agility process to deliver to customers.
  • Reinforces the Lean Business Agility process and required deliverables to successfully bring products to market.
  • Develops and manages Project Management plans, stakeholder rosters, issues, risks, dependencies for all assigned projects
  • Manages an action register, issues log, and plan changes for assigned projects.
  • Conveys a sense of urgency with regard to agreed timelines to keep projects on track.
  • Supports product teams in gathering business requirements/user stories and acceptance criteria related to their project.
  • Works with approved vendors (as applicable) to identify business requirements.
  • Organizes meeting agendas, sets expectations for team, and leads discussions related to project.
  • Manages resources, project schedules, delivery timelines and coordinates with cross-project teams on the agreed delivery plan.
  • Facilitates plans to keep projects on track and minimize date slippages while allowing for reasonable flexibility to account for necessary adjustments.
  • Oversees capital spend related to project deliverables to insure project stays within budget.
  • Communicates project status to stakeholders and management teams.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or six years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Project Management.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience working with Agile teams.
  • Proven leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage and negotiate with required internal and external teams.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) products and services.
  • Knowledge of Verizon’s Lean Business Agility (LBA) process.
  • Knowledge and experience with Clarity, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
  • PMP certification.
