What you’ll be doing...

This Senior Manager position is within the Centralized APIC team. This team manages budgeting, training, digital finance initiatives and communications for the combined Accounts Payable, Payroll, Commissions and Invoice Validation groups (APIC).

  • Digital Finance: Drive alignment with Budget, Capital, and Business Services. Lead analysis of Digital Finance capabilities (robotic process automation, natural language programing, Block chain and optical character recognition). Create and support business cases to initialize and drive APIC use cases to utilize Digital Disruptor tools.
  • Robotic Process Automation: Manage the team that will coordinate Coaching for Developers. Drive Code Review, Governance for Automation Projects. Documentation and Director Signoff.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions / Transformation: Ensure all APIC teams are represented in M&A projects. Coordinate timelines and deliverables with SME’s across APIC DR/ BC / SPI.
  • DR/Business Continuity/SPI: Manage the team that maintains documentation and testing on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity as well as maintaining SPI attestations.
  • KPI / Metrics / Training / Communications: Manage team that develops and publishes key set of KPI's for APIC group. Drive format for and content for departmental reviews.
  • Training / Communications: Manages team to ensure training Coordination for key skill set development and VZ Knowledge Status and Coordination.
  • Capital / Budget / 3rd Party Services: Drive alignment with Budget, Business Services and Digital Finance. Identify Capital Enhancements and Vet Benefits. Drive funding and prioritization with CFO Portfolio.
  • Business Services (3rd Party): Publish Performance Metrics with Vendor.
  • Budget: Analyze the Numbers Underneath. Keep Score on Improvements. Resolve Discrepancies.

You are an individual that can provide strategic goals, targets, and manage a staff with a diverse skill sets. As a professional, you can design, maintain and control reporting templates, systems and processes. You’re an individual that can support multiple stakeholders and vendors to ensure issues are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner and a strong leader who can negotiate across functional boundaries and resolve them in a timely manner. This position will operate as the Chief of Staff for a Vice President-Financial Operations.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel upto approximately 25% of the time.
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Ability to work across towers (HR, IT, Vendors, etc.).
  • Communicates clearly, concisely, and persuasively to senior leaders, team members and external stakeholders.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, with four or more years of directly related equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership background, demonstrated experience in improving processes and project management.
  • Effective management and leadership skills.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office inclusive of Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Experience in the communication industry and an understanding of Verizon billing systems, products and services.
  • Excellent critical thinking, decision making and judgment skills.
  • Ability to perform complex or highly technical accounting tasks and functions.
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively at both the detailed and big picture level.
  • Ability to lead projects and work with multi-functional teams.
  • Thrive in a leadership role in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-deadline environment.
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvements.
  • Ability to evolve with the developing & changing needs of the business.
  • Ability to understand needs and objectives of all stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
