What you’ll be doing...

We help our customers understand how our platform, network, and IoT (Internet of Things) solutions will help their businesses work better, faster, and be more secure---and solve real business problems. This is where you come in. Your role will be to seek new or established businesses to join the sharing market and to bring together the right public and private organizations to partner on our IoT Share Solutions platform to create a strong ecosystem for customers—and cement our position as the market leader. Working with internal teams from sales to legal, finance and IT, you’ll anticipate critical gaps and future needs and make the right business and technology connections to offer the best integrated solutions. Ultimately, you will create better ways for people, businesses, and things to stay connected.

  • Understanding the asset management needs of public and private organizations.
  • Identifying, developing and implementing new business opportunities, solutions, and go-to-market strategies to address market needs.
  • Developing strategic relationships with business partners, like OEMs, to build out our offerings and drive growth.
  • Maintaining internal and external partner alignment and creating synergies to support platform and service integration.
  • Planning and forecasting, preparing budgets, identifying metrics, and evaluating performance.
  • Championing solutions in new business pitches and demonstrations in the marketplace to expand awareness and build momentum.

As a Business Development and Strategic Planning Manager you will be responsible for winning, keeping and growing customers in a new market. This is a direct sales role where you will work with a cross-section of strategic accounts - primarily enterprises, helping them build, manage and scale their drone programs. The Enterprise Sales territory is the Great Lakes region.

You will be passionate about technology, drones, aviation, or all of the above. You’re a driven self-starter with a high level of personal integrity, who can collaborate across teams.

This role is responsible for driving the adoption of Verizon’s drone operations management platforms and services. This position represents a key element of the organization which will deploy, evolve, and support the cutting-edge technology vision over the coming years. Experience in Drone operations and technology, UAVor aviation is a huge plus.

You envision the large and complex, but make it easy for others to understand.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or related field or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Marketed or sold complex technical solutions.
  • Willingness to travel domestically.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree. Ideally, an MBA.
  • Experience with wireless industry, IoT solutions, M2M technology and OS platforms.
  • Sold and managed large, complex engagements and projects with multiple stakeholders. Ideally, including c-suite.
  • Forged partner relationships and agreements.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and influence skills.

Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for driving revenue by supporting the sales of enterprise SaaS solutions to strategic accounts.
    • Skilled at negotiating agreements with business stakeholders, procurement, senior management, and C-level executives.
    • Working closely with the Verizon sales teams to support actionable territory and account-specific growth plans and executing.
    • Consistently meeting quarterly sales targets.
    • Travel up to 50%. When not traveling, will use their home as their headquarters.
    • Support the sales cycle from hello through negotiation and close.
    • Prospecting and qualifying a combination of outbound and inbound prospects.
    • Performing customer-focused product demos using web tools and in-person to prospects and customers.
    • Developing proposals and quotes.
    • Consistent pipeline, forecast and sales cycle management.
    • Managing renewals for your portfolio of customers.
    • Teaming with Customer Success and Support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Providing input to Marketing, Product and leadership on market and customer trends.
