As the Senior Finance Manager you will lead a team that is responsible for preparing financial analysis for senior management to determine the viability of new products and services. You will gain knowledge of Verizon Wireless financials and operations in order to make the best informed decisions possible. In this role you will partner with all headquarter and market departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team supporting the financial analysis requirements of all-operating Market and headquarter projects including; Service Pricing, Promotions, CRM, Global and International.
  • Supervise and prioritize work product of the Commercial Analysis Pricing Team.
  • Manage the development of financial models, tools and corresponding assumptions used to evaluate the impact to profitability and shareholder value of changes to our business model, service pricing, promotions and other major financial decisions.
  • Assess the profitability of new and existing service offerings through the development of business cases and discounted cash flow models.
  • Perform cost benefit impact analysis for ad hoc business issues.
  • Prepare financial presentation materials and formal business case documents for use with senior management.
  • Present this material to senior management when needed.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related discipline.
  • A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
  • High degree of strategic and analytical capability, including the ability to analyze a large amount of data.
  • Strong strategic skills, with the ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations; ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
  • Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax reporting and accounting practices and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Knowledge of report query and design.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to focus on the details.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
  • Experience with Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
