Verizon Partner Solutions (VPS) is the global service provider of choice to deliver a better experience on a better network for wholesale voice, data and Internet solutions. The Wireless Transport Center of Excellence is committed to supporting the Ethernet and other lit service processes as well as supporting the wireless community’s growing requirements.

VPS Wireless Transport Center of Excellence has been commissioned to retain existing Ethernet revenues while supporting our customers and grow their networks. As these customers grow their networks, Verizon must expand its product offerings. Simultaneously, Verizon is expanding its fiber presence in key strategic locations. This combination of events is driving the need for this team to add a Sr. Specialist in Product Development.

In this role you will report directly to the Manager of Lit Service offerings. The chosen candidate will work to bring any, and all, pertinent products to market in order to meet the wireless carrier demand. This will most certainly include Co-location Services, Broadband, WAVE, and Ethernet services, but may expand beyond that. The role will require a working knowledge of the technology and networks that support these services. Additionally, you will work with Sales to understand the voice of the customer and identify new product opportunities to generate profitable revenues for Verizon.

As a requirement, you should understand telecommunications services, specifically carrier Ethernet.This role will partner with customers by speaking directly with them and then acting on their feedback to maximize revenues to the firm.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute strategies for assigned products

  • Bring capable service to the market

  • Work with cross functional teams to deliver on product timelines

  • Create senior level presentations

  • Conduct customer trials

  • Dashboard Creation

  • Develop/manage balanced Scorecard Metrics

  • Perform Competitive Trend Analysis

  • Track and analyze product level revenue and margins

  • Set pricing and develop got to market strategies

  • Deliver on the commitment view associated with the product responsibilities.

Additionally, you will assist Sales, Sales Engineering (“SE”), and fellow PLMs (Product Line Managers) in general technical analysis, network design, and RFI/RFP preparation and response for Collocation, Broadband,, WAVE, and Ethernet services. You will be an ambassadors for the products for which you are responsible.

Ideally, the chosen candidate will have familiarity with telecommunications services, specifically Collocation, Broadband, WAVE, and Ethernet. Candidate should be comfortable talking with technical resources and distilling complex concepts into manageable summaries.

Position may be based in any valid US Verizon location

  • Bachelor's degree or other four or more years of experience
  • Six or more years of experience in telecommunications or related field. Telecommunications Product Development experience
  • Experience in all aspects of implementing and managing marketing strategies
