You will lead a team of over 15 IT professionals to ensure the availability, stability and scalability of the systems that support FP&A and Accounting. Major functions include Month End Financial Close support, Production Support, Operations Support and Infrastructure Support.

  • Manage team to identify the hardware / software capacity and procure the needed hardware / storage to keep the systems scaled appropriately, employ the necessary upgrades to the software stack, plan and execute vulnerability mitigation across the landscape.
  • Debug, analyze and identify the solution for production issues encountered in Hyperion EPM suite, Budget Planning, HFM, Data Relationship Manager and OBIEE implementations.
  • Development support for high priority production issues and enhancements to Hyperion essbase and oracle applications per business requirements.
  • Interface and work closely with upstream/downstream systems (Enterprise Data warehouse, CPM, Enterprise Information systems, PeopleSoft, nSAP/vSAP and Partnership accounting teams) to ensure system and application operations for Hyperion suite.
  • Drive & align upgrades and enhancements to existing applications and manage future software releases to align to IT strategic direction and objectives.
  • Analyze the architecture to reduce cost and increase efficiency, renew any necessary vendor support contracts on time making sure business continuity.
  • Keep VAST, CART and other systems up-to-date and conduct quarterly SOX audit reviews on the servers and databases to be compliant with CPI-810.
  • Employ the best DevOps / DevSecOps model and monitor the progress with appropriate metrics.
  • Provide management support and design guidance to support staff for implementing enhancements and major projects based on business requirements.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements while leveraging Verizon tools and strategy.
  • Communicate project status and any risks identified to senior management appropriately.

In addition, this role will

  • Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and business partners.
  • Direct and manage project resources, including employees, Time & Material Contractors and 3rd party vendors, from beginning to end and delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Mentor and develop team members to thrive in a transformation environment.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel upto approximately 25% of the time.
  • Experience in Oracle Hyperion System 9 or Oracle Hyperion suite version 11 installation, configuration, maintenance, support and development experience with two or more full cycle implementations.
  • Experience in multidimensional analysis, designing essbase applications and dimensions, data load, calculation and aggregation techniques experience

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Experience in one or more full cycle Hyperion suite 11.1.2.4 upgrade/ new implementation.
  • Experience on Oracle Database RAC,DRM.
  • Strong IT development and SDLC skills.
  • Strong Project management skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of Financial statements and processes
  • Experience on and pragmatic approach to business, processes and user needs.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to recognize impact of decisions on end users
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact with team members and external customers
  • Strong presentation skills to all levels of management; ability to communicate complex concepts in a manner that is understood by audience.
  • Ability to prioritize efforts and tasks in a high volume and fast paced environment.
