What you’ll be doing...

In the role as our MTS-IV Maintenance Engineer you’ll be responsible for providing subject matter expertise on our Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung OSS applications. You’ll be responsible for cutting edge technology that supports our 4G and 5G OSS applications. As an MTS-IV you will be managing and building our vendor relations and leading our First Office Application (FOA) on new platforms and software’s. You’ll also provide all necessary documentation to the field to support new software loads.

  • Work with vendors and other internal organizations to identify any customer impacting issues and/or security vulnerabilities.
  • Post advisories notifying operational and engineering teams of potential network issues.
  • Provide tier 3 support for network issues across the nation and lead outage calls to ensure timely resolution
  • Work with lead PMTS to develop troubleshooting and best practices procedures for all supported platforms.
  • Manage the relationship with Ericsson and Samsung to ensure a reliable network, timely delivery of new products and services and efficient rollout.
  • Work with the vendors on issues and security vulnerabilities to ensure that resolution is provided quickly.
  • Work with lead PMTS to develop and review procedures, standards, and guidelines for operational and engineering teams to follow for new products and/or ervices as well as maintenance.

  • Identify gaps or issues in existing system deployments and provide guidance for resolution.
  • Responsible for running nationwide configuration audits, identify severity and oversee resolution.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Four or more years working on network capabilities or applications.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and build relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels.
  • RedHat Linux knowledge.
  • Open Stack experience.
  • Experience working with the follow:
    • ENM, ECDS, vENM and Ericsson vRAN 4G LTE
    • Samsung vRAN 4G LTE
    • Samsung 5G OA&M
    • Samsung Open RAN/CPRI 4G LTE vLSM
    • 5g Fixed location 5g VSM (Virtual System Manger) Samsung VSM and USM 2.0
