What you’ll be doing...

As a Principal Engineer - Project Implementation you will be responsible for the design and implementation of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) for the CTX market. You will have to deliver solutions that support customer requirements within budget and time constraints. You will be engaged from the inception of projects and will remain engaged thru the entire delivery and acceptance process.

You will provide oversight of DAS implementations and guide the team in the RF Engineering, construction management, budgeting, permitting, and inventory aspects. Projects include new construction and upgrades to existing locations. Scope of work (SOW) includes managing RF Designs, initiating and awarding bids based on Construction Drawings (CDs), scheduling and managing installation/integration vendors, equipment engineering, budgeting, quality control, and project closeout.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in designing and implementation of wireless communications systems.
  • DAS design for neutral host wireless cellular system and public safety system.
  • Experience implementing different architectures: DRAN, active and passive DAS.
  • Experience designing and optimizing with iBwave, ability to create and complete BOM.
  • DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration and troubleshooting, walk test optimization.
  • Analysis of walk test data to optimize venues to meet Design criteria for Coverage and Dominance.
  • Support Optimization of the venue to maximize end user experience and meet Exit criteria.
  • Experience recommending modifications to CDs in regards to rack layouts, cable routing, power requirements, etc.
  • Valid driver's license.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Strong leadership skills, great team player.
  • Knowledge with Traffic analysis concepts.
  • Experience with in-building products such as: Spider Cloud, efemtos, radio heads.
  • Knowledge with Nokia RAN architecture and radio products, major DAS manufacturer products.
  • Creating and defending solution recommendations for large airport venues.
  • Experience with the implementation of fiber optic and coaxial cable, power, battery back-up, antennas, splitter/combiners.
  • Knowledge with Third party DAS and small cell systems.
  • Technical knowledge in Transport and Core.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Knowledge with Scrum, Kanban, and Agile environments.
