The Role:

Seeking a Solutions Architect Lead with a software engineering background to work across product, marketing, and sales teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver solutions with the end-goal of sales in mind and lead a team of Solutions Architects. Will be part of the Sales team for the Solutions department, a group that creates and maintains developer SDK’s and components, which can be combined with professional services to offer enterprise solutions.

  • Work with product, marketing, and sales teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver solutions with the end-goal of sales in mind. Act as a Solutions Architect

  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations that explain key technical aspects of solutions that will benefit customers and prospects.

  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers to understand requirements. Provides product technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

  • Successfully tailor demonstrations for customers, trade shows, and special events.

  • Prepares cost estimates by consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel.

  • Be able to think critically and suggest improvements that might lead to cost savings or other client benefits.

  • Work with the client to problem-solve through every hurdle during the sales process.

  • Arrange and, in some cases, lead training for customers.

  • Work with compliance to ensure all legal requirements are met.

  • Research the industry on an on-going basis to know what changes may be on the horizon that will impact current and future sales.

  • Provide feedback to the team as well as R&D for process or product improvements as required.

  • Condense information into reports for a wide variety of uses from marketing and sales to engineering and R&D.

  • Provide clear and accurate responses for RFPs and/or contribute technical solutions directly to proposals.

  • Work in tandem with the sales team on presentations to ensure accuracy.

  • Willingness to travel to conferences or customer meetings.

  • Willingness to make functional or non-functional prototypes

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or moreyears experience as a software engineer working on mobile or web products
  • Two or more years experience as a Sales Engineer Lead or Solutions Architect
  • Management experience.

Even better if you have

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with IoT tracking, asset tracking, navigation systems, geospatial / location technologies, mapping, and big data.
  • Ability to manage several sales opportunities.
  • Ability to apply the right technical knowledge at the right time in the sales cycle.
  • Strong presentation skills to both business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to translate knowledge across diverse industries.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to engage in a larger conversation.
  • Collaborator and liaison with all levels and departments within an organization.
  • Self starter, independent, go-getter.
  • Ability to creatively find opportunities.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to be seen as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).
