What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager, Network Business Development, is responsible for managing a geographically dispersed team of Business Development Managers in the East/West Network territory. The position requires driving City Engagements & ownership of developing opportunities in 1F Cities. The Senior Manager provides senior level leadership, develops relationships with City/Municipalities, and collaborates with his/her team in developing value proposition, understanding the political and competitive landscape, and executes partnerships by aggressively establishing contracts.

The Senior Manager is responsible for territory planning, driving urgency across the team in conducting deep dive discussions with various City Departments, understanding their specific needs in solving City problems, coordinate with the VZ Enterprise Architect, Network Engineering, and Systems Performance team to create requirements document, develop City Solution Maps, & collaborate on development of solution document from design through execution. The Senior Manager will work closely internally leading cross functional organizations in building support model for deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Align & Strategize with 1F Build & 5G Launch Plans and drive Business Development activities.
  2. Develop city specific strategy and responsibility for value proposition decks.
  3. Drive collaboration with internal VZ organizations and owning deals to drive wins.
  4. Create executive level, technical, and value proposition presentations.
  5. Proactively collaborate with State & Government Affairs teams and Wireless/Wireline Networks and Legal teams.
  6. Drive positive customer experience with the sales teams.
  7. Proactively get cities ready for Open for Sale opportunities in 2019.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in Sales and Business Development

Even better if you have:

  • 12+ years of experience in Sales & Business Development with 8+ years of experience in complex solutions delivery and experience selling & negotiating to/with State & Local Government.
  • Experience in managing delivery of complex solutions involving IoT/M2M, Optical Networking, fiber, Wi-Fi, small cells, and Professional Services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, or Engineering preferred.
  • Strong technology sales & marketing and analytical skills.
