What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Inventory Planning Analyst role is part of the Global Supply Chain organization. The successful candidate will be will be part of a national fast paced full life cycle asset management team.

As part of the GSC team you will have a role in managing Verizon’s expanding portfolio of technology assets. Specific responsibilities will include but is not limited to the following and will be adjusted as required as Verizon’s asset management needs change.

Asset Decommissioning, Reuse and Retirements

  • Based on Network Plan of Record, plan, develop and manage annual asset retirement budgets.
  • Manage, track and report all asset retirement and disposal activities.
  • Work with Engineering and other equipment owners on all assets being decommissioned to ensure a full understanding of appropriate procedures relevant for the planned final disposition of the asset.
  • Issue log numbers as a tracking mechanism for all decommission projects.
  • Receive and validate equipment inventories for each log using the CATS inventory system.
  • Research the general ledger to identify all software, licenses, RTU and services associated to the decommissioning project.
  • Process and track all trade in credits by working with asset owners, staging facilities and Corporate Finance to ensure all assets are properly maintained prior to being returned.
  • Work to identify potential reuse opportunities for all decommissioned equipment by working with the various Verizon organizations to ensure maximum asset utilization.

Procurement and Financial Services

  • Receive, verify for accuracy and process invoices for payment.
  • Create and issue necessary purchase orders per Verizon standards.
  • Manage and track the team’s budget and maintain accurate detailed accounting of all invoices, purchase orders and team expenditures.

Southlake Network Location Physical Asset Management

  • Ensure all assets entering and leaving the building are tracked appropriately in the CATS inventory system.
  • Safeguard all assets by ensuring adherence to asset management policies as well as appropriate material handling procedures.
  • Ensure storage areas are maintained as per asset management and site guidelines/policies.

Perform audit services as needed for all equipment statuses within the building.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in inventory/ asset management.
  • Experience with HQ overhead organization’s (for example NNO, ME, NI, PDV) equipment and asset management processes.
  • Knowledge of the CATS Inventory, Peoplesoft Procurement and Peoplesoft Financials systems.
  • Microsoft excel knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel upto approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Analytical experience, high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Verizon financial ledger asset tracking, national warehousing, transport and logistics program.
  • Experience and comfortability working in a live production data center environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule in all location types whether network office, field site or warehouse location.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
