What you’ll be doing...

The Sales Operations Manager is accountable for providing the Sales team with the tools and skills necessary to increase sales and overall revenue growth. This position will report to the Senior Manager – Sales Operations. This is a critical position with the primary goal of the successful development, implementation and monitoring of enablement programs. You will demonstrate the ability to gain deep knowledge and understanding of the sales organization they support, Verizon’s value proposition and our channels of distribution.

  • Design, build and implement a comprehensive sales enablement program (to include tools, processes, programs and accreditations).
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify knowledge and skills gaps across the company, conduct ongoing needs assessments and roll out targeted programs.
  • Design and implement metrics to ensure consistent evaluation and measurement of accreditations.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Product Marketing to develop and launch sales enablement programs.
  • Ensure skills, knowledge and sales readiness of sales organization.
  • Craft and run sales enablement tools and enablement materials that support the sales force in their revenue generating efforts.
  • Identify and spotlight repeatable standard methodologies for rapid dissemination across the field.
  • Build and own the sales enablement content.
  • Produce quarterly sales, technical sales and partner product update training, measurement of that training and reporting of results to executive management.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Work experience in or with telecom sales.
  • Experience in curriculum development, training and delivery.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • General knowledge of sales effectiveness tools in the industry.
  • Understanding of how software technology is used to take on business problems, with domain expertise in at least software, services, wholesale/distribution.
  • Demonstrated excellent presentation and communications skills; capability to assimilate complex concepts and clearly articulate business value.
  • Ability to have high-level discussions with sales management to resolve business drivers and how enablement programs can assist in achieving these needs.
  • Demonstrated an interest in building new enablement tools/programs and uncovering untapped enablement potential.
  • Experience leading a broadly defined project, involving people or other resources from multiple sites and multiple, unrelated disciplines.
  • Skills to work in a cross-functional team environment with changing and evolving roles and responsibilities.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work appropriately and effectively with multiple levels of managerial knowledge of sales effectiveness tools in the industry.
  • Strong teamwork skills and openness to coaching and development.
