We help our customers understand how our platform, network, and IoT (Internet of Things) solutions will help their businesses work better, faster, and be more secure---and solve real business problems. This is where you come in. Your role will be to develop robust yet simple to use analytical tools that support spectrum acquisitions, FCC spectrum auctions, operating market acquisitions and other business development work. The team works on acquiring and rationalizing new wireless spectrum assets at FCC auctions or on the secondary market to support our world-class network, valuing and acquiring the assets or equity of operating wireless companies to supplement our 4G LTE footprint, and valuing and acquiring the interests of our equity partners in dozens of markets large and small. Transactions like these help cement our position as the wireless market leader. Working with internal teams from sales to legal, network, regulatory, finance and IT, you’ll anticipate critical gaps and future needs and make the right business and technology connections to offer the best integrated solutions. Ultimately, you will create better ways for people, businesses, and things to stay connected.

  • Employing advanced digital finance tools including machine learning, artificial intelligence, visualization tools (like Tableau), R statistical programming language, Python, etc.
  • Preparing detailed but elegant valuation models that incorporate large network data sets to support FCC auctions and acquisition activity.
  • Preparing decision support materials for senior executive or board review in advance of major negotiations.
  • Leading the valuation and mechanical aspects of Verizon’s spectrum auction team in upcoming FCC auctions.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s in Business Administration.
  • Programming skills in software tools like Excel (including VBA coding, Pivot Tables, data ingestion, etc.).
  • CPA or CFA.
  • Experience with wireless industry, IoT solutions, M2M technology and OS platforms.
  • Programming experience, such as; Python and/or R experience greatly valued.
  • Experience selling and managing large, complex engagements and projects with multiple stakeholders, including c-suite.
  • Forged partner relationships and agreements.
  • Experience presenting to executives with the ability to influence.
  • Network knowledge with a focus on the RAN or spectrum bands.
