What you’ll be doing...

In this position you will be a key player in the Product Development lifecycle, specifically you will be tasked with managing the contracts and agreements used to build Verizon’s innovative products. To meet the needs of the market and deliver products on time it will be your responsibility to ensure all contracts are completed correctly and within the product development schedule. You will serve as the liaison to legal, sourcing, capital management and other corporate groups in supporting all of the Product Development contracting needs including but not limited to NDAs, Lab Trials, RFxs, MSAs/SFSAs, SOWs/CRs, AMDs (GA product/services & Maintenance), and Global Clearance/Import/Export Approvals. You will use project tracking software to manage the sourcing process from the initial request to execution of a contract. During that time, you provide real-time status updates, assign actions, assist in crafting deliverables, involve stakeholders, manage documents, and enable customizable reporting, all within your initial sourcing request. In addition, you will be involved with providing a weekly executive reporting that include metrics, contract phase, estimated completion date, project risk, and current action. You will also be asked to develop relationships with product owners to provide sourcing expertise to aide in vendor engagements.

You will be the single point of contact (SPOC) for Product Development contracting & clearance activities and be responsible for:

  • Managing a JIRA Dashboard.
  • Setting customer expectations.
  • Gathering contract requirements, preparing documents & submitting SRFs.
  • Interfacing with Sourcing, Global Clearance & other corporate groups.
  • Interfacing with finance to ensure we are in alignment with committed views.
  • Creating & distributing internal sourcing reports.
  • Escalation/Risk Management.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with Verizon Sourcing, VSIL and/or VDSI Sourcing, including but not limited to:
    • Implications of SRF answers (e.g. GSAM, consulting, offshore).
    • Post-SRF processes (e.g. order and purpose of reviews, timeline by agreement type).
    • Contract types, templates, terms and conditions.
    • Vocabulary (e.g. Staff augmentation vs deliverable based) and Organizational structure/POCs.
