What you’ll be doing...

You will function as an Ops specialist for physical and virtual platforms in a fast-paced environment providing application support and IMS Call flow expertise in support of the One Talk platform.

  • Your primary function will be to provide production support for One Talk services to include ECS, Presence, CM Proxy and Cloud NMS. This includes software and configuration change deployments and process improvements.
  • You’ll work with the team to provide IMS call flow debugging expertise utilizing Irisiview, SevOne and Netscout applications as well as Wireshark.
  • As primary production support, you’ll take charge of issues that arise and lead calls with multiple parties to ensure issues are resolved quickly and we continue to provide a high level of reliability to our customers.
  • Overseeing the reporting of service KPI and analytics for the new and existing services related to One Talk, you’ll ensure the applications are healthy and engage the vendor to resolve anomalies as they arise. You’ll partner closely with One Talk engineers to deploy detailed project plans and ensure service reliability.
  • You should have hands-on experience at an operational level demonstrating expertise in (Linux/OpenStack/Application Deployment/Programming) as well as debugging techniques for the application and system.
  • This position will require on-call rotation and will require up to 50%-night work depending on the needs of the business.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience withLinux Operating System administration and or database administration/maintenance.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • OpenStack/Cloud tenant operational experience.
  • Knowledge of implementation principals of OpenStack architecture and understanding of how applications and networking operate in an OpenStack cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of Python, Ansible, and Perfecto to assist in automating day to day workloads and increase overall efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly analyze situations, identify problems, and provide solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of IMS Call flow and troubleshooting techniques using Irisview, Netscout, and SevOne. This should include knowledge of Wireshark, tcpdump, ping, netstat and other methods of packet level inspection.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive meetings to desired outcomes.
  • Proven capability of troubleshooting customer related issues and providing operational support as needed.
