What you’ll be doing...

The Fios local marketing program manager will focus on the successful execution of local marketing programs and initiatives. This role will be responsible for timely go-to-market implementation of programs that span multiple tactics and components of our marketing mix for local and multiple-dwelling-unit (MDU) / apartment segments. This includes digital & direct marketing, creative development, experiential marketing, influencer marketing, demand stimulation, offer/value propositions and product development. This manager will lead a team of 3+ marketing managers individually responsible for their assigned programs and tactics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • End-to-end management for all local marketing programs: marketing communications, media, digital, referral program, experiential events & field sales support.
  • Leading a team of 3+ marketing managers.
  • Tight partnership with peers in the local marketing planning & execution teams.
  • Ensuring flawless and on-time go-to-market implementation.
  • Continually enhancing program strategy & processes for optimal effectiveness & efficiency.
  • Ensuring creative excellence in all program communications - including email, print, website, digital display & direct mail - and complying with all legal and brand guidelines.
  • Maintaining close relationship and accountability with vendors/agencies to optimize performance and costs.
  • Tightly managing and controlling large program budgets.
  • Ensuring delivery of regular sales team training and ad hoc support for assigned programs.
  • Providing regular results reporting and status updates to senior leadership.
  • Driving strict compliance with program guidelines among sales team and other users.
  • Delivering regular program analysis to identify success drivers and gaps.
  • Closely collaborating with peers across a wide range of disciplines - including brand, legal, finance, IT, digital & sales.

What we’re looking for...

This position is within the Verizon Consumer Markets organization on the Fios Marketing Team. Our goal is to drive consumer acquisition & retention of our industry leading Fios internet, TV & phone services. This role is specifically in the Fios Local Marketing team with a core focus on driving objectives of the business unit specific to core DMAs & the multifamily/apartment category. Our team develops and executes marketing strategies to drive performance at a hyper-local level - thru a host of tactics and channels including referral/influencer programs, digital, print, email, experiential events, door-to-door & direct mail.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience in marketing, advertising, regional marketing or related field.
  • Experience in leading a team of three or more direct reports.

Even better if you have:

  • 8+ years of experience shaping and executing successful influencer/referral, marketing communications programs and/or experiential marketing initiatives
  • Experience in marketing communications go-to-market execution.
  • Experience managing multiple high priority initiatives at the same time.
  • Experience clearly communicating business strategy, results and status updates.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong internal cross functional relationships; openness to collaboration and feedback.
  • Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible.
  • Experience writing project/creative briefs and developing strategic frameworks.
  • A driver who possesses the ability to take action and implement in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen with ability to manage projects end-to-end.
  • Experience working with/for an advertising agency.
  • Experience managing external vendors & large program/project budgets.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
