What you’ll be doing...

This position manages diverse daily administrative activities and provides executive support to a Director and their direct reports. The position will also conduct analytical support for the investigative team in close partnership with the analytics team, including work intake, re-routing of referrals, and analytics report preparation. Position is responsible for managing Director’s inbound contacts such as telephone, mail, etc. Candidate will be expected to recognize business critical contacts and route appropriately for action based on urgency and business impact. Position is responsible for organizing the Director’s meeting calendar, arranging travel and preparing corresponding expense documents. Position is responsible for providing ad-hoc administrative support for the management team within the group including time reporting, absence management, AP related items, and ordering team supplies. Candidate will produce presentations in PowerPoint, including collating information from various presentations and importing Excel data.

You’ll ensure that all is running smoothly for the executives in your group. You’ll be answering calls, greeting guests, planning travel, scheduling appointments, handling travel expenses, and essentially taking care of the day-to-day operations in the office so that the executives can focus on the business while you take care of the rest.

  • Supporting several leaders with lots of direct reports.
  • Screening and prioritizing communications, both external and internal.
  • Preparing agendas, reports, presentations, and other important materials.
  • Scheduling and arranging meetings and appointments.
  • Some evenings may be required in urgent situations.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of experience in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with supporting business leaders.
  • Experience with all MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Demonstrated analytical, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently on projects, to devise own methods, approach and procedures in fulfilling assignments.
  • Close attention to detail, ability to establish procedures to complete tasks, and follow through on assignments until completion.
  • Ability to multitask and respond to changing priorities.
  • Understanding of Verizon's Payroll and Ordering systems.
  • Capability to be highly organized and the ability to manage employee sensitive and business information with utmost confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing time, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with preparing executive presentations
  • Team oriented skills and familiarity with supporting a team.
  • Abilityto prepare correspondence and reports and create all requisite documentation in a business style.
  • Skills in manipulating large data sets in Excel or other data manipulation, analysis tool.
