What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager of Repair Operations is responsible for managing the activities related to Verizon’s repair network. This position will manage a team of OEM/Repair business leads and OEM/Repair engineering leads. Further this Sr. Manager position will coordinate with Inventory Planning, Finance, Monetization, Reverse Testing and Reverse Operations teams on the repair strategy for our warranty and bid sale programs. This individual is accountable for a gross repair budget of over $250M and will lead a team responsible for the review, reconciliation, and approval of repair invoices. This position will also lead a team of engineers, responsible for repair quality and metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the optimal repair strategy for each of the product lines and repair suppliers. Manage repair costs through repair yields, TAT, bounce, and overall repair supplier performance. Constantly evaluate inventory levels and associated aging to help manage costs.
  • Negotiating SLA’s, repair pricing, and remediation with repair vendor and meeting net repair budgetary targets
  • Meeting operational and quality metrics including, but are not limited to, bounce, recovery yield, TAT, device introduction and end-of-life management. Manage repair suppliers on improvement opportunities where required. Manage and maintain supplier scorecard.
  • Vendor selection, managing repair costs, identifying the optimal portfolio of models to be repaired, quality validation, launch and end of life device planning, as well as oversight of metric development and management.
  • Lead the OEM account leads to identify the ideal portfolio of models for the repair network. Provide repair forecast and guidance to the repair suppliers. Establish quality guidelines and provide audits to validate compliance both from a 3PL and OEM perspective.
  • Lead the OEM/Repair engineers to manage repair quality, reduce NTF, Bounce and RMA’s.
  • Drive business transformation initiatives for the Repair Operation and continue to look for innovative solutions to drive cost out of the business.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of wireless industry like Service and Repair with ability in supply chain operations, program or process management, and metric development and oversight.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or any other related field.
  • Ability to negotiate business and technical terms, as well as KPIs and SLAs.
  • Ability to clearly articulate a vision to a broad range of audiences.
