What you’ll be doing...

As part of Verizon’s Network Assurance Business Operations Support Team, you will help in the coordination and implementation of major transitional changes. You will help maintain Verizon’s leading network performance by partnering with cross-functional planning and developing core groups and ensuring those teams have the tools and knowledge to make the best directional changes for front line engineers. This support would be achieved by providing the following functions:

  • Project manage and drive transformation efforts to support Network Assurance Initiative owner
  • Ensure and coordinate measure benefits have been gathered
    • Track History and Changes
    • Communicate Changes
  • Identify, support, and communicate to Network Assurance core teams the needs of other organizational business teams to ensure continuity within the organization as a whole
  • Identify and know potential misalignments between transitional efforts
    • Combine multiple roadmaps into a single organization view
    • Build detailed cases for leadership review and escalation
    • Develop and provide potential solutions
  • Filter and relay front door requests for maintaining priorities with IT for project specific details
  • Field change requests from market specific differences that don’t align with national organizational direction
  • Coordinate and lead FOA for Transformation projects
    • Identify FOA markets
    • Lead FOA calls
    • Ensure FOA participation
    • Support FOA needs
  • Support and organize resources for AI/ML teams
  • Consolidate bottom up project ideas and build models for leadership review

The role would consist of active engagement through telepresence, WebEx, Google Hangout, and other forms of remote group collaboration. You would also be supporting all time zones for which core team members would need representation.

What we’re looking for...

An individual that is open minded and accepting of differences in opinion on organization direction yet has the ability to drive alignment. Demonstrate the ability to lead and foster positive discussions around meeting the intended goal. The ability to describe complex situational issues quickly and accurately to leadership teams while not being afraid to drive for success by working with cross-functional teams.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Project management skills (PMP and/or Agile).
  • Experience in Microsoft Office product suite: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Skills in Google Suite products: Sheets, Slides, Docs.
  • Executive Presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of fiber transport, microwave, satellite solutions, and disaster/crisis responses.
  • Knowledge of 4G LTE Wireless network RAN and CORE.
  • Knowledge of relational databases.
  • Business reporting acumen and data analysis experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience to develop creative solutions to complex problems and then communicate and implement those solutions.
