What you’ll be doing...

In this position, you would be focused on successful delivery of programs that provide great customer experience for a variety of projects in Verizon’s digital environment. You would be part of the team that creates a state of the art scalable services to streamline the business processes, center and user experiences to meet the customer commitments. You will coordinate and lead cross-functional IT, Operations and offshore teams in delivering the programs successfully, measure and monitor them to ensure they meet or exceed the intended benefits. Activities at high-level include, but not limited to:

  • Meet with business partners to understand the business problems or needs.
  • Come up with creative solutions to solve the business problems.
  • Leverage latest technologies to provide effective and efficient solutions.
  • Evangelize the generic solutions across the teams so others can leverage.
  • Help the junior team members in solving the technical problems.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four more or years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in a DevOps development environment and agile framework.
  • Experience with AWS.

Even better if you’ll have:

  • A degree.
  • Developed highly-responsive B2B web applications and UI components with ability to code across the full stack.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE including both the language and troubleshooting various environment issues.
  • Experience with Micro Services and domain driven design.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines as group member or individual worker.
  • Experience with at least one of the following JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, AngularJS, or Node.js).
  • Experience in Telecom domain.
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as: Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.
  • Experience with orchestration template technologies such as: OpenStack Heat, AWS Cloud Formation.
  • Experience with containers and container scheduling and management platforms such as: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with platform-as-a-service technologies such as: Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, or Heroku.
  • Experience with telemetry solutions such as: DataDog, Sensu, Graphite.
  • Experience with logging and reporting solutions such as: Logstash, Elasticsearch, and Kibana (ELK), Grafana, or Splunk.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, infrastructure as code, automated application deployment, monitoring/telemetry, logging, reports/dashboards, and continuous delivery technologies.
  • Experience in building high-performance infrastructures that are scalable and resilient.
