What you’ll be doing...

No balls drop on your watch as you juggle lots of different priorities because you keep track of all the details. You operate as a strategic partner with logistics, supply chain management, field operations, and 3PLs in establishing and adhering to operating metrics. You are familiar with network deployments as well as equipment supporting 3G, 4G & 5G technologies. You know how to successfully lead teams and gain buy in from business partners. You prefer a fast-paced environment with new challenges each day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all operational activities for a network distribution center with over $1B of throughput per year and a multi-million dollar budget.
  • Manage a large and diverse team of logistics and supply chain professionals supporting network infrastructure.
  • Provide leadership to ensure efficient distribution to general contractors and adherence to policies, procedures, and process excellence.
  • Oversee all warehouse and transportation hub operations from inbound, inventory, pick/pack and outbound.
  • Partner with network equipment OEMs to adopt best packaging and shipping practices, and optimize the receipt process.
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establish key performance indicators tracking methodology and develop corresponding management reports.
  • Partner with a Third Party Logistics Provider to ensure alignment with engineering expectations and achievement of their objectives.
  • Hold Third Party Logistics Provider accountable to hit KPI goals and enforce contractual obligations.
  • Optimize distribution channels for maximum efficiency and cost.
  • Continually improve and develop business performance, including automation and Lean practices.
  • Develop and ensure a culture of safety awareness and compliance of all EHS policies and procedures.
  • Execute supply chain projects from planning through to execution and provide findings resulting from project execution.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for cost reduction, driving savings in-line with overall business expectations.
  • Ensure targets for cost reduction are achieved and/ or exceeded.
  • Develop service level agreements and collaborate with Sourcing groups to negotiate contractual terms.
  • Act as subject matter expert regarding fulfillment centers, transportation operations, and distribution models.
  • Manage key strategic projects that improve customer experience and/ or reduce expense.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience to Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Project Management and supplier management experience.
  • Experience in large scale operations and distribution management.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Budget and financial control experience.
  • Willingness to travel upto approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Business administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or any other related discipline.
  • Seven or more years of experience in a high volume distribution center of 500K SF or larger.
  • Experience in driving culture and employee engagement.
  • Experience in managing a third party Logistics Provider.
  • Experience in Wireless Network operations.
  • Experience in Fulcrum products including CATS.
  • Experience in PeopleSoft and Ariba transactions.
  • Experience with FUZE.
  • Experience in materials management, i.e., transportation, purchasing, inventory management
  • Import/ Export experience in supply chain function.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
