What you’ll be doing...

This position will support some of Verizon’s most strategic accounts. These networks typically have 100% uptime requirements. Experience as an Operations or Program Management executive with State and Local governments is strongly desired. Working knowledge of Cisco and Juniper based networks. Experience with WAN, LAN, Voice, DNS, Security and Application support. Familiarity with network systems & tools kike SMARTS, HP Open View, NICE, Avaya, Cisco CCS, UCCaaS, Groundwork, Tufin, nSAP, CA eHealth and OPNET. The position will be required to manage relationships with all internal support organizations. Interface with clients up to and including the CTO and COO levels. The primary responsibilities of the role it to meet and exceed all internal and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs), set strategy & direction for the organization and develop and mentor the direct reports. Direct interface with the customer on SLA performance will be required. Leadership during critical incidents will be solely fall to this position. Any contract additions will also be reviewed and implemented under the responsibility of this position.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of management experience in a 24/7/365 environment
  • Familiarity with analytical tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • We are looking for a seasoned professional with NOC or Call Center experience. ITIL and ISO experience required. Routing, Switching and Voice certifications are a plus.4 year college degree required. Ability to communicate at an executive level and motivate to the front line is part of the daily job.
  • BA/BS preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Possess a full understanding of web environments and architectures along with knowledge of HTTP, FTP, DNS, and other Internet protocols
  • Knowledge of streaming protocols and formats like Flash and Windows Media Players
  • Experience with shell scripting and command line tools
  • Previous experience in a CDN is highly preferred
