What you’ll be doing...

In this role, you will lead our Adobe Campaign Center of Excellence. You will be a digital technology leader for the team that is responsible for all activities related to campaign deployment in Verizon's Adobe Campaign platform – including the strategic, tactical and support functions (creative, technology, and analytics). Your role is to inspire, manage, and develop a group of marketing professionals and leverage marketing technology to drive successful business performance while creating great customer experiences. You and the rest of the Adobe Campaign COE team will be the technical marketing experts for Adobe Campaign and will work together to design and implement complex multi-vehicle campaigns. You're the technology liaison between the vendor, the platform and your peer group with in the CRM team and the broader Verizon business.

Your leadership will be critical in helping the members of the COE deliver excellence on a daily basis, as they:

Design Customer Messaging Journeys to Support Key Marketing Campaigns

  • Leverage available training and resources to maintain a full and comprehensive understanding of the Adobe Campaign tool and associated functionality.
  • Design and build best-in-class end-to-end personalized messaging journeys.
  • Work cross-functionally with Campaign Managers, Business Insights team, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Data Analysts, ETL Developers, Project Managers, and Agency Client Partners.

Assess & Deliver Appropriate Data Elements for Targeting & Personalization

  • Assess which data elements will be required to reach the “right” customer (targeting) and determine what fields are needed for effective personalization of the message given the campaign strategy, vehicle(s) and objectives.
  • Identify if all elements are present within the existing Adobe profile and design flow of any additional needed data elements into the platform (SQL, ETL, etc.).
  • Leverage a thorough understanding of customers, data, and programs to test all portions of the end-to-end journey to avoid mis-personalization or data errors and ensure 100% campaign accuracy.

Develop Adobe Campaign Content Blocks, Workflows & Vehicle Orchestration

  • Develop content, programs and vehicle orchestration for the campaigns in order to deliver personalized message to the intended customers.
  • Design and deploy journey maps, create automated marketing schemas, and design cross-vehicle workflows that consider customer preferences, campaign objectives and suitability of individual vehicles to a specific campaign.
  • Design and implement complex content rules to ensure campaigns do not overlap with existing campaigns planned for or running in the Adobe Campaign platform.

QA, Test and Execute Campaign(s)

  • Convert upfront campaign design, journey mapping, data mapping, and content / vehicle orchestration into the actual “customer facing” deliverable(s).
  • Perform quality assurance review of all work, including work from external parties (e.g. other campaign engineers, agencies, etc.).
  • Review all vehicles and personalization possibilities for accuracy.

Analyze Campaign Metrics & Optimize

  • Review existing campaigns to leverage opportunities to improve campaign performance based upon initial campaign results.
  • Design / implement A vs. B testing, multi-variant tests, and content optimization techniques to rapidly determine best messaging strategies.
  • Evaluate treatment versus control group performance to identify opportunities to adjust strategy and optimize.
  • Review with and provide updates to key stakeholders regarding campaign strategy, performance and optimization that has been and/or will be implemented, and the associated gains.

Provide Product Feedback and Future Development Requirements

  • Provide subject matter expertise on Verizon’s implementation of Adobe Campaign and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Identify, summarize and clearly articulate opportunities to other employees in Verizon (e.g. peers, managers, department director, etc.).
  • Serve as a key interface to Adobe technical and product development teams.
  • Influence and guide future product support for our business from vendors.

Manage Email Deliverability, Security and Compliance

  • Ensure industry best practices are utilized to guarantee optimal delivery of communications, minimizing undeliverables and managing overall sender score.
  • Manage customer opt-outs and preferences to ensure correct vehicle utilization and suppression.
  • Partner with Legal, IT Security, Privacy and Compliance teams to ensure appropriate adherence to governmental, industry and Verizon-specific regulations related to customer privacy and data security.

What we’re looking for...

We’re looking for a leader who inspires collaboration, teamwork and excellence. Someone who understands Adobe Campaign, but who is also a technical expert with ability to solve problems with knowledge of Verizon customer data. Most importantly, we need someone who can translate and deliver on a vision both to highly technical members of the COE and to other non-technical teams and/or executive leaders.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with a “Tier 1” commercial email deployment platform.
  • Experience with commercial marketing clouds (Adobe Campaign, Responsys, and/or Salesforce) and experience building marketing workflows with multiple data sources.
  • Experience with lifecycle and/ or customer-facing marketing programs.
  • Experience managing a team of marketing professionals.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Design, Management Information Systems, or any related IT or Technology field.
  • Experience in solution design, development and technical consulting through tight collaboration between business and IT teams.
  • Knowledge of campaign performance analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical, research and organization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
  • High degree of independence and resourcefulness – ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities and meet deliverable dates with limited supervision.
  • Adobe Campaign Certification
  • Ability to be a team player and work across multiple teams to support varied business objectives.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and an open-minded approach with respect to new technology, techniques and process.
  • Experiencein technical scripting languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RPL, Python, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Teradata SQL.
  • Verizon Data Warehouse experience.
  • Experience leveraging / building Tableau dashboards.
