What you’ll be doing...

You will help to build the foundation that keeps us in front of the competition. The work you will be doing will deliver the network infrastructure for new platform, product and service deployments. We will look to you to meet critical deadlines for large cross-functional and enterprise-wide projects and solve the complex problems that the team may face along the way. Your role will be pivotal to coordinate activities within the network function and across other teams to make completing complex projects look easy.

  • Oversees the KY 5G deployment. Works with market Project/Construction managers to ensure a successful build and deployment program.
  • Project manages the financial, contractual, and regulatory approval process.
  • Works closely with RF, Real Estate, Equipment Engineers and Facilities Engineers to ensure cell site construction issues are cleared and requirements are met.
  • Works closely with engineering teams to provide vendor equipment forecasts to ensure timely production and deliveries to support the various build programs across the market.
  • Works with outside vendors including General Contractors and Architectural & Engineering firms on project design and priorities to meet VZW standards and build schedules.
  • Hosts weekly routine planning and working sessions with critical stakeholders and regional Network Assurance Managers to review project scope, define issues, develop deliverables and associated timelines, assign primes and track action items.
  • Develops and maintains a detailed schedule for each project and actively manages the scheduled tasks with outside vendors including major milestones, action items, long lead purchases and any other commitments that would impact the project schedule.
  • Analyzes implication of changes from the original schedule and takes required corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Provides regular project status reports to management and the project team.
  • Maintains the regional monthly cell capital plan ensuring spending accuracy in monthly forecasting and performing monthly true-ups of YTD monthly spending by budget item.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with Wireless/Cellular/Telecom technologies.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree.
  • Project Manager Certification.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple work groups to ensure the proper approvals are received prior to construction process.
  • Ability to work in multiple databases to ensure dates, milestones, and critical information is well documented throughout the project.
  • Skills to generate reports on critical timelines and pertinent information.
