What you’ll be doing...

  • Creating In-Building Designs, RFP issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.
  • Using system tools such as Network Flow, Site Tracker, VZ Reg, Express Bid, CATS Inventory Management System, and PeopleSoft to create projects, POs. And using propagation design tools such as Geoplan/Atoll and iBwave.
  • Performing In-Building design including equipment selection, antenna selection, antenna placement, utilizing knowledge of LTE, CDMA 1x, EVDO and microwave to contribute in network designs.
  • Responsible for the construction and integration of Macro Cells, in-building solutions.
  • Responsible for the timely and successful implementation of RF repeaters, DAS Solutions, small cells andODASsolutions.
  • Working with vendors to review and approve large venue designs such as stadiums, arenas. Working with OEMs and Install Vendors to properly order and install DAS Systems. And working hand in hand with market system performance engineers in the optimization of the venue.
  • Partnering with System Performance to reduce Lost Calls, Ineffective Attempts, Failed connection attempts, Dropped Connections, RRC setup failures, RRC Drops, Context Setup Failures, and Context Drops.
  • Supporting the investigation and resolution of customer complaints regarding service by using drive test tools, post-processing and mapping tools to determine root causes.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in RF, in-Building, small cells or RF cellular equipment.
  • Experience in indoor RF design tools or iBwave.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in engineering or related field.
  • Ability to work on next-generation solutions and projects.
  • Oral and written communication skills, ability to work with leaders of organizations, including city and government officials.
  • Capability to pursue technical issues, problem-solving, and reviewing new technical products/services to the benefit and improvement of the overall network.
  • Ability to use internal tools to process documentation for FAA/FCC filings and compliance.
  • Project management skills and ability to stay abreast of new technology.
