What you’ll be doing...

The individual in security role will be architecting, designing and implementing SAP Security policies across three SAP production and across the multiple SAP component system instances supporting Production/QA/Development (ECC/SCM/SRM/CRM/Gateway/Fiori/S/4,HANA,PI/PO etc.). The position includes detailed reviews and analysis of Security requirements from the business and IT for all aspects of SAP processing (Finance, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, Asset Management, IT Development, etc.) and requires subject matter expertise within the SAP authorization concept and SAP transactional framework, to develop and maintain security role profiles to deliver verifiable and auditable security controls within the SAP ERP systems. This resource works closely with role owners from the business to assess business processes and establish business roles that align with “swim lane” control matrices to establish adequate segregation of duties controls, and with data trustees to confirm assignment of these established roles to those individuals approved by the business to perform those tasks in the conduct of the jobs and in compliance with Verizon corporate policy and SAP standard methodology with respect to security settings. Oversee security requirements and develop central process for SAP security role administration for new multi-year projects like 1ERP, One Planning, One Sourcing.

Responsibilities include

  • Develop centralized process for SAP security role administration in a multi-instance environment. This includes ECC and S/4, Fiori, SRM, SCM, CRM, BI, and BOBJ/Enterprise Portal systems. Work with GSC teams to understand requirements, trends and strategy in order to support business projects. Design and maintain security roles across all landscapes to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place and achieve targeted Service Level Agreements, audit compliance, and defined performance metrics. Support quarterly audit requirements for SAP applications; Provide supporting documents for assessments, and work to close any gap/findings.
  • Administer solution that facilitate user provisioning/de-provisioning, authentication/authorization, and reporting based on business needs, industry best practices, and Audit/regulatory requirements by working with IT and Business Unit owners
  • Ensure that changes to roles and system are tested, approved and completed according to company standards. Including regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Identify the risks and designing the SOD (Segregation of Duties) Matrix and Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to drive process efficiencies.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP applications & SAP GRC tool; User provisioning, role creation and maintenance and Segregation of Duties (SOD) resolution. Strong knowledge of authorization concepts.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience with SAP S/4, BW/HANA, PI/PO, Solution Manager Security.
  • Experience with SAP roles and authorizations.
  • Knowledge in SSO and SAML Technologies and protocols.
  • Knowledge in Incident management/Ticketing tools.
  • Experience in the following areas: SAP Security (ECC/PI/PO/SolMan), SAP BW/HANA security, Web Security, and Vulnerability Assessment/Testing.
  • Strong SAP SSO experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team towards a common goal.
  • Experience and or knowledge of SAP Enterprise Security.
