What you’ll be doing...

You will partner with key players to provide internal and external support to ensure timely and accurate purchase order creation, invoice processing, build deliverable tracking and reporting. You’ll be part of the team concentrating on delivering OneFiber infrastructure in support of 5G and the business. The work you’ll do every day will change the way that our customers live, work and play.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Wireline Engineering organization and reports to the Business Operations Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position are life cycle management of purchase orders, timely processing of vendor invoices, data analysis to compile specialized vendor invoices, and managing the smooth flow of worktasks to invoice processors. This position will operate in a key role with respect to organizing internal and external training on invoicing tools and processes.
  • Leading efforts around identifying, documenting and communicating best practices for invoice processors, VZB engineers and external vendors. This is our second largest capital expense for the OneFiber build and ensuring that we properly manage the capital funding through best practices is key to the program's success. In addition, this role is tasked to proactively innovate and look for opportunities to improve, providing guidance to leverage better performance from internal and external resources.
  • Emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail will be necessary skills, as well as a commitment to helping the team to accomplish a variety of requests while supporting the natural flow of OneFiber and BAU invoices. This position interfaces with various departments, internal customers within the organization, external vendors and across multiple functions.
  • Build strong communication channels with vendors and internal departments such as Wireline Engineering, Sourcing and Accounts Payable. Responsible for satisfying customer expectations on timely and accurate invoice processing. Receives some supervision and has some latitude on achieving objectives related to specific program task, project or initiative. Ability to manage and negotiate with internal and external organizations. Advanced Excel skills manipulating data with vlookups and pivot tables, sorting and identifying discrepancies and anomalies.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles including three-way match.
  • Advanced Excel skills manipulating data with vlookups and pivot tables, sorting and identifying discrepancies and anomalies.
  • High level administrative skills, excellent organizational skills, and experience with nSAP, CoFEE, Sharepoint and Google Suite.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with external construction vendors and internal engineers and management.

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams across all levels of the organization to optimize business results.
  • Ability to reconcile spends and produces meaningful reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic fast paced environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in telecommunications industry and/or fiber construction.
