What you’ll be doing...

This position 5G Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the Tristate 5G Project Management and Engineering. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the successful implementation of 5G in the Tristate market. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large scale projects that span several organizations. This role will work closely with Real Estate, RF design, Planning, and Implementation. As a 5G project manager, you will be responsible for driving the overall 5G plan, communicating results, identifying and clearing roadblocks, and interfacing with HQ teams on overall deployment plans. A strong candidate will also have the ability to identify and communicate the 5G architecture and equipment roadmap.

  • Apply project management skills to manage a build plan of several thousand projects
  • Utilize existing knowledge of wireless network and operations to drive efficient communication streams across various teams and organizations.
  • Manage external vendors for equipment forecasts and delivery.
  • Drive project teams to hit monthly goals.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of 5G network architecture and equipment.
  • Experience managing large scale projects that interface between multiple teams.
  • Experience in vendor management, equipment ordering, and forecasting.
  • Experience in reading, understanding, and commenting on construction drawings.
  • Experience in 4G network architecture and CRAN architecture.
  • Experience driving troubleshooting efforts.

  • A degree.
  • Ability to define results and managing teams to deliver on the defined results.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in diverse teams.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in defined and developed reporting methods.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with a group of individuals in the industry with varying technical positions
  • Knowledge of IP assignments and the OSI model protocols
  • Experience managing teams.
