What you’ll be doing...

This position will report into the Government Program Management Office in support of the Military and Department of Defense (MILDEPS). The scope of the position will require working with the various stakeholders to understanding the MILEPS business, determine how to make the business better, develop a plan for continuous improvement, and implement the business improvements. Anticipated daily activities include: manage the communication plan, eliciting requirements, translate and simplify requirements, plan and monitor results, lead internal and external status meetings, capture and distribute meeting minutes, assign action items to appropriate stakeholders, facilitate technical discussions as need, create and manage project plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with DITCO and civilian administrative and technical staff.
  • Knowledge of Verizon's Ordering Systems and Architecture, specifically as they relate to the Federal Government accounts.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis to develop Business Cases at a Portfolio, Program and Customer level.
  • Perform statistical modeling techniques and methods.
  • Conduct periodic performance review meetings at the Portfolio, Program and Customer level in regards to meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Service Level Objectives (SLO)
  • Drives customer solutions.
  • Monitor vendor compliance and strengthen vendor relationships.
  • Interfaces directly with Verizon senior leaders to properly address complex customer requests.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategic plans to mitigate the risk.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in following Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodologies.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (MBA preferred)
  • Fifteen or more years of professional experience.
  • Ten or more years of Telecom and/or IT Implementation experience
  • Five or more years of relevant management/supervisory experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Certified Scrum Developer (CSD)
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3
