What you’ll be doing...

The Program Manager – IT and SIM Device, plays a primary role in the LTE in Rural America Program support structure working with our internal partners in Information Technology as well as our SIM vendor, device OEMs (Apple, Motorola, Samsung, etc.) and various other internal functional groups. Participants in the LRA Program lease Verizon's LTE spectrum and build a network of cell sites that connect to the Verizon core.

SIM/Device responsibilities:

You will be responsible for all SIM/OTA technical issue resolution, device requirements and certifications for all devices coming through the LRA Program as well as ensuring appropriate SIM profile maintenance, certifications and inventory.

  • Provides support and owns tier 2 type SIM and Device issues from the TOSS group that serves as the primary triage center for all operational & technical issues from the Lessees.
  • Responsible for supporting the on-boarding processes for each new Lessee and the day-to-day outage and change management processes.
  • Provides OTA/PRL campaign support, SIM Provisioning and OMA-DM support, and provides oversight and approvals for Lessee SIM profiles.
  • Owns testing approaches & plan coordination for changes or enhancements that impact the SIM, OTA, SIM provisioning, Device or OMA-DM platforms.

Information Technology Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all Information Technology technical issue resolution, including; coordination among the internal support group Service Center and whollesale, LRA billing system, and other Information Technology functions as necessary to support the requirements of the Lessee (including enhancements and prioritization oversight for Verizon Wireless IT systems).
  • Provides support and owns tier 2 Information Technology issues from the TOSS Team that serves as the primary triage center for all operational & technical issues from the Lessees.
  • Responsible for supporting the IT day-to-day outage and change management processes.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant business or technical field or four years of relevant work experience
  • Six or more years or related experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with PC and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, e-mail, etc.)
  • Experience with cross functional project planning and management concepts, methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in the Telecommunications and Wireless industry
  • SIM experience and/or knowledge
  • LTE and/or GSM experience
  • User experience testing and/or Information Technology testing experience
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in business conditions
  • Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible
  • Demonstrated expert technical and analytical skills
  • Strong business knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience building relationships and fosters teamwork
