What you’ll be doing...

This Position is to join the Construction Control Management team in the Operations Control Center for the Mid-Atlantic North Region. Control Managers have the responsibility for project managing Construction activity across the region footprint to ensure adherence to the Engineering Work Schedule and will facilitate Construction movement to the Center Dispatch Model. Will work directly with 7-10 Construction Local Managers in their assigned geographic turf daily. Additional functions include but are not limited to Engineering Interface, Resolving Roadblocks, Validating Engineering Work Orders are ready for Center Dispatch, Material Sign Off/ Inventory Control, Project Management, Compliance Management, and Construction Capacity Management and Dispatch Integration.

Must be willing to travel 25% of the time to the Mid-Atlantic North Geographic area. Interface regularly with Engineering, Staff Support, Dispatch and Construction Field Operations counterparts. Deliver training, presentations, and reports up to the Director level. Strong collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize and maximize resources.

Role may grow to include supervision of direct reports.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Construction Field Operations, Engineering, or Construction Management Center (CMC) Role.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Three or more years of experience in Construction Field Operations, Engineering, or Construction Management Center (CMC) Role.
  • Field Operations experience coupled with strong Executive Reporting, Staff Support, and/or Data Analytics experience.
  • Familiarity of the following systems: vBuild, Engineering Project Management (EPM), vSAP, CTC, Manager Central, and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically ability to manipulate Excel).
  • Familiarity with the following systems: WFA-DO, COA-D, Work Manager, and Coffee Anywhere (COA) Schedule.
  • Previous experience delivering reports to Director Level.
  • Familiarity with the Dispatch Capacity Management Model.
  • Previous experience managing unionized Center employees.
  • Familiarity with Verizon Lean Six Sigma (VLSS) Green Belt/Black Belt (GB/BB a plus).
  • Engineering and Executive Reporting/Analytics experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
