Roaming Operations Team

The Roaming Operations team is a finance organization tasked with ensuring the continued profitability of roaming for both Verizon customers roaming on other networks and other operators customers roaming on the Verizon network. We work closely with Marketing, Care, Network, vendors and other operators to maintain the highest possible customer satisfaction as well as building and the maintaining the necessary controls.

The Roaming Systems Manager is responsible for designing, evaluating and developing roaming systems and processes to support the rapid implementation of direct roaming agreements and new roaming services including inbound LTE, VoLTE and M2M. This position will develop, modify and improve the control environment and roaming reporting to identify roaming anomalies and revenue leak. Serve as a Verizon roaming technical expert for escalated and unique roaming issues.

You will be responsible for quality assurance and testing co-ordination of projects related to global and domestic roaming to ensure an optimal roaming customer experience, including identifying testing resources, determining the testing approach and managing issues. You will actively participate in driving GSMA industry strategy as it relates to wholesale charging and operational standards. Manage the GSMA RAEX roaming application ensuring Verizon maximizes the efficiency of this process and is compliant with the standards.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related technical field or four years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in the Wireless industry, superficially in Network, Finance and Operations.
  • Experience with billing systems and wireless network functionality.
  • Experience in roaming or device testing.
  • Experience with process flow improvement and automation.
  • Ability to effectively lead cross-functional team, vendors and roaming partners.
  • Expert knowledge of TADIG testing and GSMA Standards.
  • Strong knowledge of GSM roaming clearing and charging.
  • Ability to partner with and support Market needs.
  • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Creativity and flexibility in managing issues simultaneously.
  • Relational database and SQL experience is strongly desired.
  • Ability to drive highly complex problems to closure.
  • Ability to anticipate issues based on analysis and experience.
  • Superior written, verbal and group communication skills.
