What you’ll be doing...

The Global Supply Chain Planning and Logistics team has an opening to backfill its supervisor role on the Capital Tools Center Team in Norristown, PA. This person will be responsible for managing operations for the Capital Tool Center and related initiatives with a focus on simplifying processes and cost savings while overseeing the ordering, RFID tagging, repair, and retirement of capital tools and related financial transactions for our business partners.

The Capital Tools Center Supervisor will serve as the team lead in a support role to the WNO and planning teams. The supervisor has experience and knowledge of procurement processes and tools (SAP and PeopleSoft), WNO field operations, budgets, and report development.

The Capital Tools Team partners with Wireline Network Operations, Fleet, Training and Development, and labs internally and OEMs and repair vendors externally. Capital Tools processes tool purchases, repair requests, annual servicing requests, tracks warrantees, assigns charges to cost centers, and works with outside suppliers to provide the best services and prices for our Verizon partners. Currently, IT development is underway to develop a new Tool and Budget Request System tool for the team. Additionally, the team has recently assumed responsibility for placing RFID tags on capital tools to better track inventory. The team provides ongoing management and support of the programs implemented.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge with Field Technician processes and tools.
  • Experience with procurement/ purchasing systems and processes within vSAP and Peoplesoft.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Four or more years of WNO or Supply Chain experience.
  • Experience managing multiple vendor programs simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively with multiple clients and projects, tight deadlines and take actions using self-directed management skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
