What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager - Professional Services System Integration (PS) leads a global team of technical Senior Consultants/Consultants who are responsible for both the delivery/upgrade and Technical Delivery Management of Verizon's global Unified Communications and Collaboration as a Service (UCCaaS) product.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • All aspects of recruiting, hiring and managing a team, including planning their training, establishing schedules, collaborating on career paths, ensuring performance and adherence to corporate policies/training.
  • All billable and non-billable team member’s utilization remains within acceptable ranges and the work they are performing is completed on-time and within budgeted hours.
  • Providing cross-functional UCCaaS product support by collaborating with direct reports, peers, organizational leadership, the Verizon UCCaaS product team, Verizon support organizations and technology partners to influence technical direction, contribute to product roadmap, and assist in resolving product technical issues and closing technical gaps from presales through delivery.
  • Owning the overall success of every project being delivered by the team and must be aware of the overall status of every project and own delivery-related escalations and issue resolution within Verizon and our technology partners.
  • Providingthe support of Sales and Account Teams during the presales cycle and day-2 support organizations after project handoff.
  • Working with PS peers as well as Product, Sales and external Technology Partners on continual process improvements to accelerate UCCaaS delivery to meet Verizon contracted commitments.
  • Ensuring highly effective and mutually-rewarding customer relationships, and effectively communicate project and/or issue status to Verizon key stakeholders as well as customer management and executive levels.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or ten to twelve years of relevant work experience
  • Five plus years’ of experience managing complex Unified Communications (UC) projects and leading the resources that deliver and/or manage them.
  • Expertise in correlating business drivers and needs (financial drivers, impacts, and restrictions) into technical solutions.
  • Experience with Unified Communications delivery methodology.
  • Experience with Unified Communications product and application knowledge.
  • Proven track record inability to understand technology, staff large complex projects, and meet the demands of our Sales and Account Teams from presales through hand-off to day-2 support.
  • Have the ability to effectively participate and lead discussions and present material at manager and executive levels, and to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master’s Degree.
  • Knowledge and understanding of new product development and how to maintain and enhance it.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with our customers to resolve issues and to respond to escalations.
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude towards technical and business challenges.
  • Ability to multitask and work and lead effectively under tight deadlines and in stressful situations.
  • Able to work nights/weekends as required to support the team when technical issues and/or project escalations arise.
  • Able to identify short- and long-term goals to achieve overall team, organization and company objectives.
  • Ability to work with Verizon technology partners in terms of technical direction, support and issue resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous Verizon Professional Services delivery or project/program management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and outstanding collaboration skills with a proven ability to work cross functionally and act as an influencer at all levels.
  • Personal credibility and confidence to influence technical decisions and challenge existing processes and procedures that are not in-sync with product evolution.
