What you’ll be doing...

The Manager - Project/Program Management of Network Service Transformation will be responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of strategies and programs targeted to improve the customer experience and simplify Verizon's wireline service delivery by migrating products and services from legacy TDM (largely copper based networks) to IP products on a more robust and efficient fiber network.

The Project/Program Management fully responsible to develop and lead specific strategy, implementation and execution of the cross functional corporate plan CTO (Product Planning, Network Planning and Engineering, and Service Delivery), Consumer and Mass Business (National and Regional Marketing, Sales and Operations) to improve long-term wireline cost structure by simplifying product sets and moving customers to best network and product options. They will have responsibility for the Network Transformation Deal Desk including our ‘Black Box’, VOIP set and Special Construction programs.

This particular position will focus on the near term product solutions to facilitate the migration for legacy to strategic products. The effort will be inclusive of product grandfathering and withdrawal. The candidate will aid in the design and implement of product rationalization plans and orchestrate a fluid process that can be repeatable and streamlined. In addition the candidate must be well versed in legacy DS0 products and their associated design, billing and tariffs.

This position will interface with Verizon Product Managers, (Verizon Enterprise, Verizon Partner Solutions and Consumer - Mass Business), Federal and State regulatory teams in an effort to reduce and simplify our network product offerings and the associated network build and modernization as we transform from a copper to a fiber based network

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelors or equivalent work-related experience.
  • 7 - 10 years multidiscipline/line and staff management experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Strong understanding of Verizon Wireline and Wireless Access and Transport architectures
  • Must have good knowledge of OSP, IOF and COE equipment including and not limited to BPON and GPON OLTs, DLC’s, Switching, and associated provisioning
  • Strong product strategy and technology background
  • Ability to interface with and lead large cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with internal inventory and planning systems (SWITCH, TIRKS, iVAPP, & ICGS, CCP, and CCR)
  • Must have very strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with and present to Senior Leadership, both internal and external to Verizon
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Technical knowledge of copper circuit requirements for voice and data products (POTS, HSI, DS0, DS1) on the copper network
  • Very strong strategic planning and execution skills. A demonstrative change agent.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunication industry forums and trends, with respect to voice, data and video service offerings
