What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for the management and development of complex data analysis for Verizon FiOS Consumer Marketing. You will lead analysis efforts around complex data sets to determine key drivers related to customer churn, revenue and/or upsell opportunities. You will also identify opportunities and emerging trends to make recommendations for Offers, Campaigns, Channel and Pricing Strategy teams.

  • Package results of analysis into professional presentations for communication to peers, superiors and executive levels of the organization.
  • Define the short-term (six to twelve months) direction of the project/program in support of departmental and organizational goals.
  • Write complex queries and analyze complex data.
  • Develop models using R, Python on large data sets.
  • Project manage IT work, work with different IT teams and manage the stakeholders.
  • Work with Finance to provide data needed to support business cases.
  • Create and publish professional level dashboards to share results across the organization.
  • Work individually and with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, and managing projects to completion.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance or Technology, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in SQL.
  • Experience in Tableau, R, Python, Hadoop, Teradata, Spark or Other BI tools.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Technology or a related field.
  • Analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, presentation and Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional team leadership skills.
  • Deep knowledge of best practices for measurement and analytics of both digital and non-digital marketing initiatives.
  • Deep technical expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling
  • Capability to communicate complicated concepts and to articulate a case for efficacy and preferred methodologies.
  • Understanding of statistical/data mining concepts and techniques.
  • Grasp of information technology concepts for data capture and data management.
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative on projects.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, and to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced work environment.
  • Proven critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work, problem solve, and lead independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through multitasking, prioritization, and negotiating expectations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capability to communicate, partner, and collaborate.
  • Ability to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly and the ability to explain to both business and IT stakeholders.
