What you’ll be doing...

This position reports to the Payroll Senior Manager – Transactions and is responsible for providing support, technical, and process direction to the Payroll Transactions team to ensure timely and accurate processing. This position will assess and determine accuracy for collection, calculation, and entering of data by the Transaction team. These transactions included those related to deductions, garnishments, newly-hired employees, special payments (commission, bonus, annual/long-term incentives, military), salary changes, sickness/short-term disability benefits, taxes, termination, and Wireless time reporting. The Senior Analyst is responsible to ensure these transactions are controlled, effective and efficient. In addition, this position will identify and implement process/efficiency improvements and find innovative ways to manage Global Payroll’s complex set of transactions. Charged to make processes more efficient and scalable, while working to ensure the highest level of quality of our Payroll operations to minimize operational risk. Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, IT, Labor Relations, Accounting, Finance, and Field Operations in addition to providing support for external vendor relationships.

  • Reviews applicable industry benchmarks to meet or exceed year over year.
  • Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Champions opportunities to simplify and standardize systems and data across the company.
  • Provide support for annual Sarbanes Oxley audit and any related audits, as required.
  • Provide support to Payroll systems team relating to project development testing efforts.
  • Partner with process peers in HR, Benefits, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Labor Relations, Corporate Taxes, and related third party vendors to resolve complex/escalated employee questions/issues.
  • Provides technical guidance and support of Global payroll functions, where appropriate.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with Payroll, Time and Labor applications.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end Payroll processing requirements.
  • Knowledge of year-end Payroll processing procedures and payroll rules.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and MS Office combined with ability to create meaningful presentations to present ideas.
  • Experience with Payroll application table set-ups related to earning and deduction codes, and ability to develop queries/reports to support accuracy requirements.
  • Knowledge of required compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements governing functional tasks and activities.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to study defects, issues and derive root cause, and Payroll end-to-end processing.
  • Project and program management skills.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll and HRIS, PeopleSoft Time and Labor.
  • Ability to identify, develop, monitor and report performance metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, and balance workload and competing priorities and deliverables.
  • Organization, communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
