We are looking for a high-energy Business Operations Manager passionate about the business of location and geospatial services to manage key initiatives for the Business Operations team in the Location Services & Data Commercialization group within the Strategic Platforms organization of Verizon. This role will be responsible for supporting a variety of initiatives associated with backend business processes, business systems integrations, partner operations, sales enablement, and key metric tracking to enable operational efficiency within the organization and drive revenue optimization.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead business operations activities to the Operations team for Business Operations internal/external strategic partnership portfolio.
  • Partner with internal product and sales teams on integration, maintenance, and other related activities, which have direct impact on partner metrics.
  • Collaborate with business development, key products, services and platform teams to drive and manage key initiatives that require cross organizational implementation.
  • When applicable, coordinate with various internal teams to migrate old business processes and introduce new systems to the organization.
  • Manage a variety of ongoing reporting initiatives for the business operations portfolio in coordination with the team.
  • Lead sales and advertising operations responsibilities, including metric tracking and reporting, pipeline reviews, and process management to increase revenue and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with equal level counterparts within strategic partners and manage and project/program manage day-to-day activities to drive key initiatives agreed by both parties as well as prepare for quarterly reviews, conduct metrics tracking, support joint marketing efforts and organize internal reviews.
  • In partnership with Finance Operations, track all Verizon cross-divisional strategic value reporting for the VLS organization.
  • Assist in operational process development, information flow and system integrations with strategic value-added reseller (VAR) partners.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have

  • A Master’s degree/MBA.
  • Ten or more years of experience in relationship management, business development, sales/marketing and operations.
  • Experience working with teams, both internal and external, that are outside of immediate area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of location, data and geospatial platforms, technologies and innovations, marketing approaches, pricing strategies, business models is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills with ability to articulate company vision to internal teams and at times to strategic partners.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with team members, peers and leadership to a common action.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively, at all levels of management, throughout the organization.
  • Ability to independently prioritize multiple projects and function effectively in a fluid, fast-moving and competitive business environment characterized by rapid change a must.
