What you’ll be doing...

The Network Partnerships team is looking for a project manager to support the OneFiber program. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a strategic and tactical team in a fast-paced and evolving environment that delivers business impacts. Working in close partnership with internal business partners including Network, Legal, Finance, Government Affairs and other teams from all Verizon Lines of Business (VzW, VzB, VZT, VPS) to design, deliver and implement OneFiber across Verizon.

Responsibilities:

  • Align and strategize with 1F Build Plans and support Business Development activities.
  • Provide prioritized build status, metrics, and details at regular intervals as required.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Operations Manager to provide deliverables supporting the director and BD managers.
  • Host weekly/biweekly or monthly calls for communication and alignment with stakeholder teams.
  • Drive collaboration with the respective VZW, VZB, BD and SGA teams to understand the build and remove any roadblocks to progress for VZW or VZB builds.
  • Gather city build progress data and update reporting tools as needed.
  • Track the franchise, MLA and contracts statuses for each of the cities within the UACE.
  • Create timelines for agreement deliverables and key milestones for specified cities based on the city agreement and Onefiber build.
  • Track and manage all cross-team issues impacting the city engagement and city agreement deliverables.
  • Ensure alignment between the city agreement deliverables and the One Fiber build.
  • Work with key stakeholders as needed to develop business cases for partnership agreements.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of experience managing cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
  • Experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite tools.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Five or more years of project management driving cross-functional teams.
  • Subject matter expertise in Wireless/Cellular/Telecom technologies.
  • Knowledge of local municipal governments and processes.
  • Effective interpersonal and team building capabilities in matrixed organization.
  • Strong project planning and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives working with all leadership levels.
  • Experience in managing delivery of complex solutions involving IoT/M2M, Optical Networking, WiFi, Smart City Solutions and professional services.
  • Experience with networking technologies including fiber, ODN, macro/small cells, Metro Area Networks.
  • Proven track record of leadership of project accomplishments including successful project launches.
  • PMP Certification.
